turbo gsr.. bad missing link?.

Default turbo gsr.. bad missing link?.

the other day i was driving and my car started to act up.. when i give it some gas it feels like my car leans out and hesitates for a second then it takes off.. it also sounds like it miss fires here and there. i got a cel for map sensor , air intake temp.... i have a missing link, stock ecu and a fmu . iam only running 5 psi till i get a management and tuned. any ideas.. when i replaced the map sensor with a new one there was no change.. when i took out the missing link it pretty much ran fine. so my question is could the missing link go bad. or could the tps and map plugs have gotten swithed.. it first i thought i had a throttle body gasket leak.. the only thing i kno is that i need new spark plug wires.. thanks for ne help

start by changing the spark plug wires.

but you say that it runs "fine" when u take out the missing link...i dont know what kind of budget u have laid out, but I would ditch the FMU/Missinglink setup for some bigger injectors and a stand-alone tuning base.

if you really dont want to do all that, how were u going to tune your car anyway?

You need to be tuned, period. Those piggy back systems are junk.

is that stupied FMU and missing link.. ditch that set up, go get an obd 1 ecu and tune it with crome/hondata/neptue/ectune whatever your choice.. i will put money u swap that BS of an engine management system out you wont have any issues.. i personally had my 01 turbo GSR tunned with crome pro and i am doing a turbo set up on my 2000 civic SI.. running a p28 tunning it with crome.

back to thread, if the link is taken out and the car runs fine, from process of elimination, it sounds to be the link, but as to everyone else saying replace that setup, i agree, save some cash

u can't just take the link out.. that is his "engine management" FMU n Missing Link..

well i didnt mean remove permanently lol, taking out meant replace it, sorry for my poor english sometimes lol
