Yeah, the 1973 "trunk model" Civic 1200 was only 1536lbs, and the hatchback was 1552lbs. Good luck plugging a B18A into that frame.

haha yeah i wasnt thinking bout putting it in there, its just so light. b18 in one of those bodies would be really fast, but i dont even want to know all the things id have to change around.... anyways cya

An '84-'87 would be a good 100 to 200 lbs lighter than a comparable '88-'91. If you get a non-Si '84-'87 then you have to rewire the car for fuel injection because it will be carbeurated. Otherwise with the Si you can just get the mount kit and assorted other install-related parts and it should "bolt in" relatively easily.
