Lightest honda...
Im considering putting a b16 in my 91 LS' and then taking the engine from my LS and finding just an old civic with blown engine, no engine, or just something really cheap, putting the b18 in it, and just stripping everything out of it. leave 1 seat no panel nothing. And i was just curious what the lightest civic body is, around like 91 or earlier just something i could get real cheap.
That way i will have a nice reliable engine in my LS which id mainly drive then a nice light car to race with, win win anways lemme know guys, thanks

Assuming you still want a little practicality (no serious custom work) the lightest you can get is an 84 base model Civic CRX (back in the day when they actually had "Civic" and "CRX" emblems on the same car!). From there, you would have to convert it to fuel injection from an 85-87 CRX Si, then use 86-89 Integra hubs, HAsport or Place Racing mounts, wiring, axles, and shift linkage to bolt the B18A in. Strip that out, then you would be left with a charming little drag car. It would be easier, but heavier, to start with an 85-87 CRX Si or 86-87 Civic Si, however this saves you the headaches of converting from carb'ed to fuel injection.
Did I mention this little CRX would absolutely destroy a B16A swapped LS?

i found out that NADA.com has the wieghts for all the civics and stuff. heres the link to it(at the bottom... the 87 si hatch weighs 1,973 pounds haha holy crap the 1985 civic 1300 only weighs (and a drum roll)1,774 lbs... i think i might just get like a 91 lx, since they only weigh 2,100 which isnt bad, and plus the look of em isnt too bad. Im not really a big fan of the realllly ancient ones. anyways cya
