***Spec R's first build thread ever!***
dude if u want we can trade, i'll pay for your gas money to LA - if yours are in decent shape. the only problem is that we'd have to swap tires.
Here's some more of the detail shots
A couple during detail shots..the tape is on the rear because thats where the paint is falling off haha. if i hit those areas with the PC...well you know

94-97 Mudflaps on 98 bumper = fail

Can you picture whats wrong (aside from the obvious misalignment of the trunk to qtr panel)?

Give up?

So I took it off and painted flat black.
All done!

Notice the mudflaps fitting correctly now..

Yay new parts

I didnt take pics of the emblem glue once I pulled the emblem off, but it wasnt too bad to remove once heated with my heat gun.
Glue remnants

At least it didnt pull ALL the paint off (notice the specs of red around the two holes)

After Scratch X with heavy pressure and by hand. There were some deep scratches that I couldnt get out though. oh well..

New Emblem

Installed!

It isnt perfect, but at least I wont be confused with funny rice mods.

Heres some old shots i never uploaded...
Ever wonder why your door/car makes a horrendous piece of poop sound when you close the door with the windows open?
Here we go...after removing the door panel. eww, look at that wind noise barrier (the plastic)

The culprit

Dont see whats wrong? The rubber track tends to fall out over time.

Lets put it where it belongs.

Alright. lets be creative and get that wind barrier back on the door...excuse the ghettoness haha (props to HT DB Squad leader for the install/repairs haha)

So why didnt I just buy a new one?
http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal
I didnt want to pay 30 bucks (w shipping) for it.

Missing hood molding clips.

Not anymore

Of note: Only two bolts holding down bottom portion of box. top portion is missing screw, but not important enough to bother me. The bottom ones are more important because of the engine movement.

Top cover off - For some reason the K&N filter base is larger than stock, which is why I couldnt use the little spring/clamp at the end of the hose. Maybe I'm just too weaksauce.

When I modified the resonator box a couple weeks back, I noticed the bottom of the box was missing a rubber seal that isolated the intake air from the underhood compartment

Now its isolated - factory cold air ftw haha

Filter in - notice spring/clamp on intake hose

All done and bolted down
