Default Post Your Aftermarket Springs.

and comments about them.

Ground Control Limited Edition. These are the Gcs that have softer spring rates. they are really good springs. although, in ads, they make it look easier than it really is to adjust. no other complaints.

side note: does anyone have ITR springs on their non-type R? do the ITR springs offer a lower stance height and stiffer ratings than the non-type R springs?

thanks

h&r oe sport.. a little stiffer than the ITR springs, and drop is about .75-1 inches (like the ITR). ride is still good, not too stiff nor harsh, even on rough road. this is probably due to them being progressive. they perform very well on corners. the limiting factor on my suspension isn't the springs anymore, that's for sure.

drop is minimal though, so the teg isn't slammed, but it does kill the huge fender gap.

edit => will, i believe these to be a nice alternative to ITR springs on a non-ITR.

i've had:

eibach pro kit - nice ride, terrible aesthetics
eibach sportline - worst springs ive ever had
neuspeed sport - looked good, but rates were too soft
h&r race - aggressive handling, drop

I have H&R sports, they drop 1.7 front/1.5 rear. I like them, the ride is not harsh and it eliminates wheel gap.

^ h&r OE sport. like i said, not an aggressive drop, but it doesn't look like it's ready for off road anymore..

notice the dent on the driver-side door from a hit & run..

H&R Race, 2.5F/2.25R I believe. Looks good. Handles well but it's on stock shocks so it's not the stiffest handling.

5Zigen R-Rate = 2" front, 1.75" rear
not as low as some others out there, but rides great and its low enough for me.

ITR springs on nonITR does lower the car, but not by much. its about a 0.75"-1" drop. it is a lil bit stiffer than stock, or so i heard, but not by a whole lot. noticeable difference in handling also is mentioned.
