turbo is a nice thing to have until it explodes in your face, that is when you ask yourself if it is really worth all of the troubles, your engine is going to be sweet and the best thing is, no one is going to expect the amount of power it will be putting out making it even better, i love seeing this all motor build it is looking awesome.

i've seen NA builds blow up in people's faces too. and dollar per hp/tq, NA is 100x more expensive. k enough turbo defending.

So Im on vacation this week and my only goal is to get car started. I mated the new tranny to the block outside of the car and dropped the whole thing into the car and bolted up all the engine mounts.

The next step to install the starter, but for some damn reason the longer, lower starter bolt just doesn't want thread into the hole. Ive tried loosening the tranny and moving it around and it just doesnt go in. I really don't want to take the tranny apart again.

Trying to solve this problem in 105 degree Palmdale heat has me mad & tired.

How does the threads on the bolt look like? If its good then i would say you need to run a thread repairer thru the threads.

The bolt was good so I decided to take the tranny off last night. You're exactly right, the first 2 or 3 threads were damaged. My autozone closes at 11pm so I barely made it, found the right one and ran it thru the first few threads. It worked perfectly!

Thanks Hatchvx. Tranny is on, starter is on. Wiring harness is all now plugged in. Next is distributor, new Spoon shift linkage, spark plugs, axles, new Koyo radiator, and FAL fans.

Everything is in. It started up on the first try with no leaks or problems. I need to get the video from my friend and post it.
Drove it around the block, it shifts perfectly. Put it back into the garage once the new FAL cooling fans turned on.

Called Church Dyno for an appointment, just waiting their callback now. Spec R, I wish you could see this in person;
we got to meet up after my dyno tune.

Just confirmed earlier today- S100 install, new engine break-in and dyno tune on Saturday, 4pm @ Church Automotive.

I just wish I had taken more pictures to show you guys; I just hate stopping to pick up a camera when I'm concentrating 110% on every detail.
