A set of good lowering springs is more than sufficient for most people. If you plan on raising and lowering the car a lot due to undiagnosed obsessive/compulsive tendencies, then something with adjustable ride height may be in order.

With a .75 drop, is that still ok to drive in the snow with. Right now, with my snow tires I don't have a problem. I am going to 16's in the spring and will want a drop. Will the drop be a problem in the snow?

With less than an inch of drop and snow tires I wouldn't be worried about the snow.

My car is lowered about 1.5 or so on GC's and kyb agx for the winter and it's fine just preect the tires are about 1' or so from the fender, in the summer i lower it down to have the tire even with he fender so no gap.

i dont have any of the above on my car yet
but my bud got the GC'z with KYB'z and his rides nice if i do say so myself.
he first got the coilovers and installed them on stock shocks. he dropped it like 4 inches at first. at that time the ride kinda sucked. but when he got the KYBs and adjusted it to be stiffer it rode great!! and it handles great.

so i say go with coilovers.

Clearance is definitely something to consider.
I'm running a 1.75"-2" (after settle) drop on my car...and the winters are not kind to the front engine bay covers (the ones underneath). In regards to getting stuck and stuff...I've had no problems in 1.5 winters (in Toronto) that I've driven while dropped. I'm currently looking for a new setup as well to compensate for the winters.

Rob.
