need help changing my manual transmission fluid on my 92 teg

Default need help changing my manual transmission fluid on my 92 teg

Was wondering how I drain nd fill my transmission fluid? Its feeling very stiff when I shift gears nd grinds

There are 2 plugs on the fender side of the transmission, the bottom one is the drain and the top one is the fill/check plug.

- Unscrew both plugs(fill plug first) then let the oil drain out.
- Screw the bottom plug on and tighten
- Fill case from fill plug hole until oil comes out(almost like you're over filling it)
- Screw the top plug on and tighten after the oil stops dripping out and you're done.

You can buy the Honda brand stuff, or just regular automatic tranny fluid. I run DEX3 in mine.

To keep things simple, Honda MTF from the dealer. Nothing else.

Your manual does not tell you to put ATF in a manual gearbox. You need to drain that out immediately and put MTF in there.

My apologies, I was incorrect in that statement. I just rechecked my owners manual and it says you can use 10w-30 or 10w-40.
