need help changing my manual transmission fluid on my 92 teg

Use MTF. Conventional motor oil would work but should only be used as a last resort because it doesn't have the extra protective additives MTF does.

last resort? i have no rush i just want to know whats the best transmision fluid brand 4 my car

If there's no rush, by all means spend the extra cash and get the Honda brand MTF.

You only need like 3.5 quarts at about $9 per quart if I'm not mistaken.

And again......HONDA MTF

i read somewhere that 2.2 qts should be put in it. i have no idea how reliable that source is though. Also what about the filter in the transmission, how often does that need to be replaced or do filters only apply to automatic transmissions?

There aren't any filters in your manual trans, sometimes the drain plugs might have magnets on them to catch the metal chips and shavings.
