Default Transmission ACquisition

Just recieved my used Y-80 tranny via fed-ex. I was gonna tear it down this past weekend but I broke the key for my lug nuts. I have to wait until the manufacturer ships me a new key. I hope to get some pics up. I'll keep you posted...By the way, the old tranny was an S4. I heard that that trans was from a Civic SI. Could that be true?

Excellent info:hi5:! Does that mean I downgraded in terms of performance? Those gear ratios are confusing to me.

higher numbers mean faster acceleration through each gear. if you did indeed have an s4c before and went to a y80, that would be a slight downgrade.

That sucks. I hope it's not too noticeable. I'll be happy just to get my integra back on the road. Thanks for your help. I hope to remember my camera for the install...
