Default quick camber kit question.

right now i have the ingalls kit installed in the front. i notice when i make hard turns i hear part of my control arm hitting something. i was told that this is because of the way the ingalls kit is designed, it moves the whole arm out, causing it to be closer to whatever it is hitting.

is this true. will replacing the kit with skunk2s kit solve that problem, since they are designed differently?

thanks

this is for a 1999 GS Sedan. Currently on KYB AGXs and GC.

See, camber kits are all bad! hahahah jk.

I honestly dont know man. I've never looked into camber kits because the off-angle of my camber is so minor that I dont care.
Why not just bend your a-arm
hahahahaha jk =]

i have the ingalls front kit also...your upper A arm is hitting the inside of the fender well because like you said, its the way the ingalls kit pushes out the entire a-arm. the skunk2 kit solves the problem by moving only the upper ball joint, not the entire a-arm.

i dont have this problem, but thats cuz i have my kit pushed in all the way (-1.25 degrees) cuz i still wanted SOME negative camber.

that prolly didnt help u much. sorry dude

well, i have the skunk2's sitting in my trunk rite now, and i plan on doin the install if i can wake up early enuff tomorrow morning. And they are supposed to be alot better off in that respect with that whole hitting the upper fender wall, however, i have heard of such problems with the skunk2 as well. But rarely. I have heard more people say that they don't have that problem than do. I think it also depends upon the severity or ur drop. The one thing i like about the skunk2's is that they are fully adjustable, and skunk2 is known for making some high quality ish. Ingalls is a well known brand for camber kits forever, but i think for our particular application that a replacement upper arm a better camber correction solution.

my 2 cents

Yeah Spec R is right, if you raise it a little then it won't hit anymore. I have the front ingalls too and mine doesn't hit but I'm only lowered about 2.25" in the front (well, probably a little more since it settled, right). If you grease them properly before putting them in then they shouldn't squeek. Or maybe you have had yours so long that they need to be greased again.

adjust that camber soon... my accord had the kit and after several months i noticed the top of my fr.fenders had tiny bumps.... not good just keep a lil bit of negative camber and you'll be alright. a lil negative camber doesnt hurt tread wear

as for the squeaking, spray the bushings with some lithium spray. dont use WD-40, itll wash/wear off quickly

i dont think i cant to raise my car any higher.

but i think im going to get a little more neg camber...what should be my max on that? -1?

my fenders also have those little bumps, and its really annoying actually hearing it hit when i make hard turns on inclines.

i tried lith grease also....

do you think i should take off the kit then spray? i think im going to do that if im going to adjust the camber anyway.

will i have a problem is the camber isnt the same for the front as the back... mainly more negative on the front than backs?
