I guess you could also replace the pistons with new pistons of the same siZe, replace the con rod bearing and oil pump ,water pump and timing belt. I had the head redone when the timing belt broke so it has new valve seals.
At the very least, you would need to re-hone the cylinder bores when replacing the rings. At that point, you have completely dismantled the motor, so it makes the most sense to do a comprehensive bottom-end rebuild. Bearings, mains, the whole lot.

It's a matter of a few hundred dollars and the benefit is a bottom end that is good for another 200K miles at least.
