How do I remedy my problem?.. I would have never in a million years figured on that, but then again this is my first time.. What do I do ? I mean, did I overlook something minor ?..

And they are junk, cheap ebay stuff, But I am automatic, so I dont really think I need a heavy duty set up since I drive like a granny anyways.

I am pretty sure that the coilovers do not rest on the spring seat. Did the coilovers come with instructions at all on how to assemble everything?

The bounciness is from the springs being way too stiff for shocks that can't handle it. It will only get worse when you put the rears on and the shocks will probably blow very shortly afterwards.

There were no directions, Just a paper letting me know how much of what pieces came with the kit, springs, sleeves, rubber stuff, all of that..

What do you suggest I do ?.. my front end is sitting higher than my rear, and its a really irritating drive..

Ok, maybe the spring seats are fine since you can't remove them.

Bring the spring farther down. Try spinning the top adjustment ring all the way down to where the bottom ring is. Don't worry about slack or excessive play.

The ride is going to suck no matter what. Ebay coilovers + stock shocks = absolute worst of the worst for ride quality. If we would have known from the beginning that you planned on this setup, we would have discouraged you from making this mistake long before you even started the install.

Yeah, I know how everyone advises against Ebay stuff, But honestly.. Despite the future ride quality, I gained some experience, so that maybe someday if I decide I want to waste $200+ on an automatic DD, I will know just what I am doing. Not that it is a waste to buy the good brands, But I am not trying to establish any sort of performance quality.. Just look a little better than riding all high..

BUT.. Okay, well when I began this.. I had it about in the center.. Then dropped off jack, and it looked oddly high.. Brought it all the way down, and the spring didnt even touch the adj. ring.. after a few times, it finally set, But the guy helping me insisted tha more we compress the spring, the lower it will be.. so He turned, and turned the ring, and it is roughly 13 threads high..

If I have this set all the way down, will this over time set, or should it be an instant drop?.. I just want to get it lowered before I do anymore daily driving.. I feel like I could put 22's on my teg.. And thats not cool..

A set of lowering springs probably would have been a better choice for ride quality and the longevity of your shocks...but, I guess that is all a moot point now.

Lower the ring touching the spring all the way down to the other ring. The spring should flop around on the shock. Lower the car slowly to make sure nothing is binding or pinching and the ride height should be a good amount lower when it is on the ground.

Okay, well thank you much. Unfortunatley I have lost precious day light hours ,and the use of my jack for now, so I will attempt this once again after work tomorrow, and I will be back on here with a new post + pics to show either that it worked nicely, or that I got no where.

Just by chance is the back of the car sitting high too? Cause I know how it is with stock springs, so if there is a chance you have the front springs in the back and the back springs in the front the car won't lowered at all, it will just look stupid.

A buddy and me made that mistake once when raising his car back to stock height. Some how we lost track of the springs and swapped the rears to the front which made it super low and the back super high. Depending on the quality of the springs you installed, I'd say that may be a possibility, without the same monumental effect by buddy's civic had, but similar.

Well, I have not yet installed the rear. all of the springs are roughy the same size, and if I am not mistaken.. they are the EXACT same size..

Then again I did go from left to right when taking them out of the box (see pics above)..

I am currently at work, so I am not able to do anything, but as soon as I get out, I will try to lower the adj. ring all the way down. If still the same, I will then try taking it apart again, and maybe using the other 2 in the set to see if maybe I got them backwards.

Do I..

need the stock black sleeve thats at the top seen through the spring?
need to give the car time to sit? - or should it drop immediatley?
