Default NA B18C1 Build

I am building a NA B18C1, it has:

Integra Type R Pistons
Skunk 2 Stage 2 Cams
Skunk 2 Adjustable Cam Gears
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
Not sure what to do about header and exhaust yet...

I am not familiar with the electronics and was wondering if an Apexi VAFC would be enough for me to get this motor running properly... Also, whats the difference between version 1 and 2 of the Apexi VAFC.

Last but not least, would this setup require bigger injectors, or are the GSR injectors big enough?

Thanks, you guys rock.

get yourself a nice header like smsp, rmf, or hytech. if those are too expensive for you get a rage tri-y. keep everything free flowing with a 2.5'' exhaust and cat.

vafc's suck. get a chipped ecu and run hondata or crome

injector size depends on hp being made. stock 240cc injectors are good up to ~190whp.

Thank you for your understanding.
Who said anything about selling parts? I assume you were trying to post in the thread above.

Not to be a dick, but leave the Moderation to the Moderators.

And to make this post worth while, OP - please do not use an Apexi AFC on that engine. It's not capable of properly tunning fuel, or ignition tables. It just "tricks" the ECU into thinking conditions are different.

Crome is a great, lower cost tunning solution. Depending on the model year of your car, you will need an OBD2-OBD1 jumper harness and a Chipped OBD1 ecu. Then let a shop tune the car for you on the dyno.

Sorry, I just realized that the post by: Pedro Velazquez was in fact edited by a moderator, looks like a mishap of some sort. I apologize for the above comment.

Maybe I should have signed my user name to avoid confusion.

Everything is under control, I assure you. :eek5r:

correct me if im wrong but i thought chrome itself was actually free...all that you need to purchase is the chipped ecu and if you want pay someone to tune for you

Correct. The basic version of Crome is free but it doesn't include datalogging. The pro version is $175 (last time I checked) and allows datalogging, auto tune, knock readings, and other features the free version doesn't have.

Right, I was considering the cost of a chipped ECU, PRO version and conversion harness if needed.
