Time to start tuning
Hi guys I have a pretty much a stock 95 GSR other than obx 4-2-1 headers. I Hve come into a large sum of $ and want to start to tune my GSR. My plans is to do a N/A tune becuase that is how I tuned my old LS and my other car my 96 Toyota Celica. If you guys could give me some pointers that would help me alot. I am looking for about 250-275 whp and a nice sounding machine.

250-275 whp on a n/a setup is gonna need MAJOR work, ALOT of $$$$$$$$, tuning and still won't get any where near those numbers. Better off going turbo if you want to try and reach those numbers IMO. It's probably more in your price range and those numbers are more attainable.

Assuming your doing the work yourself, 5K will get you near 230 whp if you are lucky. Add a Nitrious system and your goals are attainable.
An OTS turbo kit can be had for around 3K +/-, and figure another thousand for engine management and tunning. This would give you almost 300 whp.

been there done that
250-275whp na requires a big bore (85mm+), lots of compression (13:1+), big cams, and a whole lot of tuning.
basically something not very streetable. 200-230whp is a better goal to shoot for.

Hey-Zuse!!!!! What, did you find it in the back of a taxi cab or sumthin? With that kind of loot and wanting all motor, why not go with a k20 swap from a type-s? You could do minor mods + tuning and have 220whp + a six speed

lol thanks that is what my first thoughts were. but oh the 8k came from investing. I just want to get my integra to type r spec or higher if I can.( and no I don't just want to buy enigne and be done with it I want to build someing up from scratch).

the latest issue of honda tuning is presenting a DIY type-r B-series motor. But given the parts they are using, it will be beyond a type-r's potential. You should look into it. That will be an awesome, streetable motor when finished.
