Best cam set
My Carrillo 12.4:1 set came today and I realized I need to get on the phone and get a set of cams to match. Other than the rods and pistons its all stock and will obviously be staying N/A. Id prefer a set that I wont have to swap valves to make work but streetability isnt so much an issue since its essentially a toy. Any idea's?

Check out skunk2 stage 2's Cams, Toda Cams, Buddy Club spec 3's or 4's Cams. you are also going to need valvespring and retainers with any of these cams. with the C/R you need a bigger cam which is going to require you to change Valvesprings and retainers.
Personally i'm going with Buddyclub Spec 3's. these can handle C/R of 10:1 to 13:1. Spec 4's you have to atleast have 12.5:1 C/R. You are also going to need an ecu program to tune with like hondata or crome for example. go to www.kingmotorsports.com they are very helpful and will know what your set up is going to need to run correctly!! I spent $1150. on BC spec 3's, BC Valvesprings and retainers, and BC Cam Gears. i also bought a p28 ecu socketed for the Hondata S300 for $325.

Thats not a bad deal at all really. Im interested to see what it sounds like with the compression Im running along with a hot set of cams. I need to order a clutch here soon too. Doubt the stock one is gonna take much of this.
I dont mind changing springs and retainers, I just want to keep my valves and save some cash if i can. Cams are looking expensive so thats where most of my dough is going. Will have to wait on a stronger clutch to buy the cams, etc.

Decied on the Skunk2 Pro Stage 2 cams. $732 plus cost for the springs and retainers. Oh well, But Im sure I'll love them. Im having them installed on the head by the same people who will be dyno tuning the car (RPM, Inc) so that I dont have to take the time to do it myself. I WANT IT RUNNING NOW! lol The bottom end is done and RPM says the head will be done Friday so if thats true I can get it back in the car this weekend and tune it the following weekend. A friend of my dads even GAVE me an ACT clutch so, even tho the stock one is 15k miles old Im sure I'll need more than it can give me to hold what Ive done.
