Is it an auto or manual tranny? I'll assume you're smart enough to use the clutch or neutral to rule out the transmission. If its an auto it could be a clutch slipping, but if it does it worse when you're turning it sounds like it has to do with the differential function of the trans. If you've ruled out the trans completely then definantly take a very careful look at if the rotors are warped, not just looking at them but use a stool or something to hold a dowel next to the rotor and slowly spin it checking for gaps or extra pressure. You can run a piece of sandpaper over the face of the brake pads to assure that they aren't glazed over. You say it sounds like its coming from the front of the car, check the back brakes too just to make sure. A rivet grinding into the pad will do all kinds of screwy things. I've you've checked all that do you have ABS? Something could be screwed in the computer causing it to activate. Thats all I can think of at the moment, hope you get it fixed.

It's an automatic. No ABS... I've put it into N when going into a turn and no noise.... So it's something to do with the tranny huh? Alright man, Thanks

if you slap it in neutral and nothing happens then its definantly the tranny. Not sure exactly which part though, either the part that takes care of the differential action, or possibly a synchro ring? Definantly should take that to get looked at by someone that knows what they're doin.

I had a problem similar to this when drivin the car it would make this weird ginding noise and its even sorse when I were to turn. finally brought it to a mechanic and what happened was the bottom of the casin on the trans cracked allowin fluid to poor out thus causing there to be no fluids. so if I were you I would check the fluid levels on the trans and see if that is a possible factor.
