Please Advise - 95 Integra H&K Cup Kit Problems
I have a 95 special edition integra (4 door). Awhile back, I installed an H&R Cup Kit. I'm noticing what I beleive to be abnormal wear with the rubber on the shocks. Pictures here

The kit came with 4 washer, what are they for?

Front Ride Height

Rear Ride Height

Can anyone tell me whats wrong?

- I notice that the tires occasionally rub/wear on the plastic in the wheel well. Is there a way to increase the ride height slightly (lengthening the damper forks?)
- Uneven tire wear. I know I need a camber kit (Can anyone speak to the quality of these?) Camber Kit
- Could the shocks be too long/springs too soft. Causing the rubber to stick up too far (made for a lighter integra?)

thanks for sharing your thoughts...
I wish I could tighten the nuts more to push the rubber further down...I assure you that this isn't an option as there isn't any thread left on the shock to tighten futher.
I'm wondering now if the shock itself can be shortened...On the shock, it seems to indicate that you can adjust the length by turning the rod. There is a bidirectional arrow with a + and - sign. I tried turning the rod with a small open ended wrench but it didn't seem to shorten the rod.
Am I on the right track here? can the rod be retracted/screwed down into the gas part of the shock somehow?

if you are out of threads something is wrong, that kit should a direct bolt on. Its hard to describe so look at the diagram, are you positive that you have the lower bushing number 17 installed?
100% positive. It must be something else. Both top and bottom #17 are installed.
I am wondering if the springs are designed for a 2 door integra (lighter vehicle) and are over compressed. If shortening the shock rod is not an option, I may get longer springs. Your thoughts?

something is not installed correctly.
those bushings should not be popping out like that. they should be squeezed into place when the nuts are screwed down.
i'm thinking you're probably missing the washers that sit on the shock shaft. not sure if it's those washers that you posted, those look a bit small. i'm also not familiar with the h&r cup kit, but you definitely have to take everything apart and see what's happening.

Ok...im going to disassemble this piece tomorrow a.m. est. I will be posting pictures during the process so stay tuned. Here is a picture of the info page that came with the kit Info Page. I installed just as the page said. Reusing parts where noted, and using parts that came with kit.
Ok, so I took the front shocks off...Here's what I found...
Notice the rub marks on the wheel well. The shocks were install correctly at the highest setting.

Am I crazy or does this indicate you can adjust height by twisiting?!

I know this is wrong (notice the spring seat upside down). I figured it's worth a shot. I need the raise up the teg just a tad.

Rear, nothing wrong with that. Or is there?

Rear spring model...Should I just change to a longer spring...the rear bushing are also getting shreded.

Before & After (looks like it doing a wheely in the after
)

Do you think the car is safe to drive with the spring seat upsidedown? Going to do some more research to see if maybe i was sent the wrong springs.

I contacted Koni about possibly obtaining a threaded sleeve for these shock to gain some extra ride height and prevent the rubber mounts from getting chewed up. Heres what I asked, does that sound like a good fix?
I have the H&R Cup Kit (31154-1) uses Koni Shocks for my 95 Special Edition Acura Integra. the struts stick up too far and its causing the shock absorber mounting rubber bushings to get chewed up on all four wheels and also causing clunking sounds because its not a tight fit. I am wondering if you have a threaded sleeve available so I can slide the sleeve onto the shock to rest on the circlip and have an adjustable perch for the spring. I need to do something very soon as I feel my vehicle is unsafe to drive. I need to have the spring rest up a little higher on the shock. Please contact me asap.
