Hehe sounds funny when getting that said to you after saying it to other people about 1000 times. Yeah Well I really wanna go for boost! But at the moment it's not possible. But then again I was thinking maybe I can go ahead and rebuild the motor to Low Comp and just have it ready for when I can gather enough for the kit.

Just keep your compression close to stock. You don't have to use lower comp. pistons. It just takes a better tuner, to achieve maximum HP. My compression is 9.7:1, and should handle boost just fine.

If your going to boost.. then you might as well forged the internals now? if money is an issue and Time... then just get some ebay piston / rings. Rebuild it, drive.

1. Rebuild internals later.
2. buy a bottom end, rebuild that while you drive your daily bottom end.

CP 9.7:1 pistons, Eagle Rods = $750.
Bearings from honda, $100.
Full OEM gasket kit, $210.
OEM Timing belt, water pump, & tensioner $140.
Machine shop .020 Bore & Hone $80.
Clutch & Flywheel $300.

Thats everything I did to my block, wasn't terribly expensive. I did some head work too, but I had a bent valve. I'd suggest getting all that stuff (or similar), and keep compression between 9:1 - 10:1. Then your car will drive like stock until you get your turbo.

I was reading about 8:1 pistons but someone said till I get the turbo in there that it will be major slug city.

it will be. why would you want to run that low c/r unless you're going to throw major boost at it?

Forged Pistons & rods, between 9:1 and 10:1 will handle 400 whp. Possibly even more, if the tuner is good. If you go any lower, your car will be too slow until boost kicks in. Will really suck before you get your turbo.

I'd say go for 9.5:1 CP pistons. You won't sacrifice any noticeable power before you get your turbo kit on.

Now I have my daily driver LSVTEC and I best to hell B20Z block out of the car. Now I know what everyone says about the B20 and it's walls. But there are only 80% of the motors that are bad and honestly I think I have one of the 20% because I drove with this block in my car at 4700rpms for 1500miles straight and allways reved to 8900RPM Burnouts blah blah and never a problem. So B20 or LS ? I want the B20 cause it's out of the car.
