www.z10eng.com sells AEBS by the way.
Probably is a new design as I've heard this more than once. That link is dead for whatever reason. I've looked at that site before though. Modacar.com has them for $119 -- works for me.

schmoo - Golden Eagle has "dogpoint bottom" ? From the looks of this its unthreaded at the end of the stud -- wtf is up with that?

AEBS are the same way. They seat at the base of the stud hole to give better support. This is also shown in the link I posted above.

The dogpoint bottom is a much better design than ARP because it will bottom the stud out in the block and equally distribute the load on all of the threads instead of a non-dogpointed bottom that puts most stress on the first few threads.

I was just reading about the studs on Golden Eagle's website and they are glass bead coated. They claim it results in a more accurate torque value.

Ahh!! I Knew I wasn't crazy, I saw it somewhere... We'll thanks for all the help guys I ordered AEBS studs so let's hope I get the ones for a GSR this time. as for the main studs I guess im staying with OEM. Putting the ARP's on ebay (ughh.. hate dealing with them latley)

I'll be sure to post a dyno whenever I get everything together & tuned. Hopefully soon, its like the "night before christmas". I've been building this motor for 4 months now.

Thanks, I'm sure they are. I've heard of the're prodcuts being used in some high HP applications.

My issue here is -- They sen't me the studs for a B16A and I have a B18C1. Now i understand they are probably the same, but they list seperate part numbers on there website. I'm not going to chance a misshap. It's just an inconvenience on my part to send them back, and wait for the correct set. So instead, ill just sell them on ebay.

And the people who gave me advice in this thread have saved me alot of headaches along the way. They know honda's well & back up everything with facts. Sense I need Correct studs anyway, ill just order the superior products this time. Also after researching, I deffinately want the "doggy style tip". :lmao:
