Default How to lift an integra

We were going to do oil changes in class today and i was going to do it on my car since i need one anyway. Well i ended up going back to the hospital last night because i had two more heart "thingys" since they aren't an attack but i passed out at one point so...........whatever..... ANYWAY but at school we have the pylon lifts and i was just going to use the pinchwells. Well since i'm at home today i want to change the oil but my jack is just a pump jack. Question is, under the front there's no supports or anything except the two two hooks. Where can i put my jack to lift up my integra to change the oil. The only thing i see is a small bracket under the radiator and i dont' like putting jacks under those areas. Last i need to do is turn a 15 dollar thing into a 300.

that bump under the radiator is the spot. I think it is actually a little behind the rad. for the jack stands I think the best spot is under the sway bar bushing brackets, the stock ones are pretty indestructable, and they lock into the the way most stands are shaped so there is no way for them to slip.
Usually if im changing oil I will leave most of the weight on the jack and just set one stand on the side im working, just in case.

really, that little grey thing with two holes in it. Mmmmk, just checking. I know a lot of stuff i've had to lift in that area. Just on the integra i kinda got scared when i looked under and nothing was on the bottom in the front

That is the spot that I've been using for most everything to lift the front end. I think it does even say for that area to be used in the Helm's, but not positive, as I don't have it in front of my right now...

for the front use the notch near the radiator, to lift the rear use the tow hook.

i'd put jack stands on the lift points near each wheel and then put a few blocks down I.C.E. anytime i get under a car i always lay somethign down that will be sure to take some of the weight off of me if it were to fall.

I always use 2 jack stands too, at the jack points. Release the jack slightly until the stands settle and leave the jack in place, or remove the jack, and definitely block the wheels.

thanks for helpin me out lift that thing. I kinda had a feeling the oil filter would be where it was on the accord....near the burning hot exhuast pipe. But thanks for the help cause that was pretty painless.

Are you talking about the little grey bump or the long dark metal lip going almost the full width of the underbody? I tried to add a pic of my view but cannot host an image to my knowledge.
I know it's been a while in this thread but hey - I'm looking for the proper point!
