also forgot to ask, do you notice the loss of weight, any improved feel of the car or mpg.... also or you worried driving in rainy conds... will you still be able to break with no problem or what, dont know the whole function of the ABS, except that it helps slow down the car...... trying to learn everything i can man, sorry for asking a silly question.

If you know how to drive non-abs brakes, you can get an abs brake system to lock up before a non-abs brake system.

It just helps them from locking up when an average joe steps on the brakes really hard for some reason. Locked up wheels aren't good considering your braking, steering, and power will be in the locked up wheels.

ok... schmoo? what do you mean by driving non vs. having them? how is it diff???

and no abs does not make you stop any faster they just help you maintain control...

The basic idea is that a good driver doesn't need ABS, it just adds weight and a few very expensive parts to brake.

I hope your ABS modulator never dies, it's a $1k part. :chuckles:
