Stroker kits are good for boost. That's about it.

how high of a compression could i go safely if i bored it out to around 85mm with some darton sleeves, about the same as a type r or could i go higher without screwing something up, want to run maybe hondata or something like that, but i dont want to go to high to where i always have to keep tuning it and it still keep its everyday drivability why do stroker kits suck

Reread my post if you want to know why stroker kits suck. They increase the rod/stroke ratio and increase the stress in the rotating assembly. This reduces the revvability of the motor. How high of compression you can go has nothing to do with your sleeves...you'll still have to tune it for pump gas. 12:1 is the highest I would go on a street motor...but you'd definitely need a hondata or something tunable and a good tuner. I'd also get a J&S safeguard just as a safety measure.

The max I would go on sleeves for a 81mm stock bore is 84mm. 85mm doesn't leave any room for error and won't allow you to bore any further if you have to rebore for some reason.

what if i just keep the stock bore, with some higher comp., should i be able to gain a fair amount of power across the whole rpm range, and just go with the rebuild from there, sorry for all the questions but this thread is the only place where i can get the answers that i need, and where better else than to get info from people that has already gone through these things, also i want to keep this thing as streetable as i can wihout overdoing it thanks for the info

I hope you don't mean on stock sleeves. If you want to go past 81.5 or 82 I'd get new sleeves. If we're talking aftermarket, I've seen people run 86-87mm bores.

No, not stock sleeves. That would be retarded.

Just because people do it doesn't make it a good idea.
