Sounds like you over revved your motor. You might have bent valves. You need to get a compression test to verify this.

You may have floated a valve, cracked your head or possibly seized a piston. The only way to full know would be to have a leak down test performed or tear the motor apart. Why are you shifting so high anyways? To keep up w/an M3? Bad idea...IMO.

Yea I know its a bad Idea. I didn't think anything of it. I use to race alot and I always power clutched. I always tought that the govener kicks in when a cars about to redline.

Yeah but you have to think of it this way, the governor is there to cut you off in case you accidentally over-rev the engine. So you don't blow it up. It does not reduce the stress on your engine until that point. It just prevents the over stress. Once you've stressed it out enough, you fall into the heap you are in now.

Thanks guys for the info. I can't belived this really happend I always shift high to get into v-tec and know alot of people who shift close to redline and never effect thier car. I was wondering do we have to drop the block to replace the valves? I was reading this link

http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/v...alveadjust.php .

I was also wondering how much this is going to run to fix at the shop.

Drop the block to replace the valves?? You don't need to remove the block, just remove the head to fix the valves if they are damaged. Did you do a compression test or leak down test yet? I would do that first before you go all out and tear the engine apart.
