Car is knocking and stalling out in neutral
Hey everyone.. This question is for all of the teg owners. Last night I was following my friends m3 to his house. I shift around 7 rpm from 3rd to 4th and on the 4th gear somthing happend. When I put it on 4th the car redlined and the whole car shooked. My car was idealing really hard now and Theres a knock in the engine. When I was driving home my GSR stalls on neutral. Can anyone of you guys help dignoste my problem. Thanks
You may have floated a valve, cracked your head or possibly seized a piston. The only way to full know would be to have a leak down test performed or tear the motor apart. Why are you shifting so high anyways? To keep up w/an M3? Bad idea...IMO.

Thanks guys for the info. I can't belived this really happend I always shift high to get into v-tec and know alot of people who shift close to redline and never effect thier car. I was wondering do we have to drop the block to replace the valves? I was reading this link
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/v...alveadjust.php .
I was also wondering how much this is going to run to fix at the shop.

Drop the block to replace the valves?? You don't need to remove the block, just remove the head to fix the valves if they are damaged. Did you do a compression test or leak down test yet? I would do that first before you go all out and tear the engine apart.
