Default My AC smells bad

I was told mold could be growing there? How do I get rid of it?

The standard way is to spray lysol into the ventilation system intake. Spray for about 20 seconds... that will take care of it. Then, just make sure you turn your AC off before stopping so some of the system can dry out a little (i.e. minimize mold).

Where is the ventilation intake? I have to have the AC on and set on recirculate right?

No it's something I have to clean I think.

I still don't know where the ventilation intake is.

For future reference, a good way to prevent that is after running your A/C switch it off and run the vents for a few minutes till you get to your destination.

I only use AC in the summer... Maybe I wasn't using it enough?

edit: I keep it on recirculate too.

Unfortunately, I don't know where the intake is... I've done this with my minivan. I'll look for it later today. Basically, you just turn your fan on without the AC and spray it into the system. On the minivan, it's just at the top part of the hood. I guess it's towards the back of the engine bay.

i've been told the air enters through the grading on the base of your windshield.

the best way to prevent the smells is to never leave the recirculate button on while the car is parked.

but as far as your situation goes dom, the main blower assembly is under the glove compartment.

im at work right now, i dont have my Helm's manual. i'll take a gander at it when i go home.
