Should be directly above the firewall Dom...runs all the way across.

The smell in my AC was from a rats or mouse nest :hsughr:

That is so rank. Both of my parents' cars had rat droppings under the hood. I'm not sure why my car didn't get hit, maybe because there's no space between the hood and the valve cover?

I had the same problem on my accord and was told to turn the heater on full blast with the recirculation off and let it run for 20 minutes. It got rid of the smell but my car is a 2004 so I don't know how bad the mold would have been compared to an older car. It's worth a shot

Spray it with lysol on the upper portion of the passengers foot area. That's where the recirc intake is.
