I have the Koni Yellows with Eibach Pro that drop the car 1.3" and I enjoy it. I don't have a big drop cuz I live in NYC and the streets here are VERY bad! I have no complaints thus far and the handling is great!
anyone know how low the tein basics drop you? and if the ride height is adjustible, and maybe a link to them so i could maybe pick them up for less than 750 the msrp? sorry for all the questions but i might be able to order tomorrow, their website has a few charts but not sure on what they mean thanks for all the help
ok, ive been googling it and cant really find anything less than 750 unless im missing something somewhere. prolly my luck and will have to pay the big bucks for them, oh well im tired of my car handeling like crap, should be a good investment for me.
for the most part, the spring/shock combos that people have been suggesting are really safe bets, as they have been used by many people and most people like them (aside from whoever said to get stock shocks and lowering springs...bad bad idea).
If you want a full coilover setup, which is what I personally would recommend, there are a couple of options:
Tein Basics are good, entry-level coilovers from a reputable companym and are only ride height adjustable.
KSport coilovers are about the same price (maybe a tiny bit more), but offer almost any spring rate you would want (the stock spring rates on KSports are stiffer than the Teins, but the ride isn't bad at all), and also are height, preload, and shock dampening adjustable. The only thing is that the company is like 2 years old (in the US...they've been around in Japan etc. for a lot longer).
I personally have (and love) the KSport coilovers. If you wanna know more about them, PM me. I also have a buddy who sells them, so I'd prolly be able to get you a good deal on a set of them.
