the stock antenna i just replaced gets great reception, hence the reason i replaced it

of course i was a moron and use a screwdriver to screw on the plug, and when i washed the car yesterday some metal shaving on it in wash mit, and there are major swirl marks around my antenna mast. i hope to god i can find a fille ror something, if not whatever, i'll live with it.

I 've thought about getting one of those many times because I don't have an antenna, but never have. I usually listen to Sirius, but it would be nice to have good reception for local news on storms/hurricanes. Thank you for posting how well it works, now I'll purchase one for sure.

yeah it is.. i think it came out to $30 even with shipping..

new development though, although i'm still picking up stations all over the board, a few had a little static in the background. i'm not sure why, as this wasn't happening yesterday, so i'm going to check the wiring and get back to you guys. i did extend the grounding wire as it was a bit too short for what i wanted to do, so maybe that has something to do with it.. (bad soldering on my part? h

did you turn on your defrost in the back? the current might have caused interference

i tested that out yesterday. having defrost on didn't affect it at all.
