i bought a '94 gsr for $4500 with 112,000 miles on it. problem is, it had been modded ("performance work" had been done.) as much as i like these cars, this was not the one to buy...i didn't know any better at the time, but i'd say it can definitely be a BIG mistake buying a car that has been modded before, especially engine-related...and this guy wasn't all that young. said he was like 28...

cuc that was a good buy, see buying from an adult is A LOT safer than buying from a teen.

now wat year is the car and how old is the chap?

and also, even 200k is nothing for honda's...my integra has 208,7xx miles on it and recently did a compression test, 175 across (180 is standard for LS)

i met a dude at work recently who has an 86 integra. he bought it brand new and beat the shit out of it because he didn't think it would last 100k. it now has 340k on it and runs perfectly, perfect compression, burns no oil, passes smog with flying colors, and has never given him a problem. he's totally in love with the car, he says he can't kill the damn thing.

I bought my 00 Gsr with 36k miles on it for $9,000 from a dealership. The first owner most have be a kid. Beat ass carbon hood, 18" white rims, chrome altezza lights, bullshit ass muffler that leaks exhaust into the cab. And the gauge lights almost caught the dash on fire during the ride home. No records of sevice. I have spent all of my money unfucking the car. After the first month I would have thought I bought a VW.
Buy from Little old ladys they treat the cars better and their grand daughters are probadly hot!:fawk: The kid that had my car before me!

I think that's a good deal. My 95 GSR has 148,xxx on it and it starts right up every morning. When I bought mine, it had 135,xxx on it, lowered, intake, header and exhaust for $5000. In my area that's a steal. I say go for it and have fun
