It's a 99, right? Take it back to Acura. Still under warrantee, or modded like crazy and voided?

i'm guessing it's your wires, cap, and rotor, if you haven't replaced these ever.

Jack your idle back up to normal, you idle screw may have slipped and so you idle just drops a little too low to run when you come to a stop.

nah... i had my 30k maintenance done, but that didnt include a valve adjustment

...but yeah.. i guess first think i'll do is adjust the idle, and if that dont work, i'll replace the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor

mrhonda_187 - all i have is exhaust, intake, and lowered. do you think they'd still cover that?

Definitely!! Let them diagnose it. Then they'll tell you what it is, and whether your warantee will cover it or not. I wouldn't go messing with anything (idle screws, etc...) if I were you. If mine died, I wouldn't touch it. I'd call Acura roadside assistance and have it towed to my dealer. Then I'd ask Acura for a loaner car.

wouldnt hurt to check your timing and vacuum lines as well...maybe even a PCV valve.

Hey JoeBenz,

My understanding of the honda/acura warranty is that if the product doesn't say Comptech USA on it, your warranty is voided. At the very least they'll blame the problem on your aftermarket part(s) and refuse to repair/fix the problem.

I also have a 99' but I thought factory warranty normally only lasted for a year...can anyone verify this?

Shingo

ps. Have you been to modesto lately? hehe...that town just keeps getting worse and worse everytime I go back

The only way they can say the warranty is voided is if they can prove the part you put on caused the problem. Intake and exhaust have nothing to do with the ignition system, so they cannot legally void the warranty on the ignition...assuming it's still covered. It's not that hard to put a stock intake back on anyways, and an exhaust doesn't do squat.
