Default better body roll prevention

i have a 1990 integra, iwas wondering if becuz the 94+ integra r a lil heavier will using those springs from the 94+ make a difference in stiffness? i was wondering since dropping your brings the center of gravity closer to the roll axis thus helping elminate body roll since body roll is proportional to ride height, but i was wondering is there any other ways besides anti roll bars and sway bars. to help eliminate body roll???

Different car but the same idea. My 92 4 door Civic doesn't have roll bars on the front or rear. I put on Bilstein HD's with H&R OEM sport springs and am currently running 15" wheels in the summer and 13" in the winter. All of the suspension bushings and joints are either recently new stock rubber or poly. Corners great.
I can't answer your spring rate question because I don't know what the stock ones are, what the 94's are or what aftermarket ones are. That's why I just went with a good company for my model.

The 94-01 Integra springs will not fit the 1990-93 model years.
The difference in weight is negligible. While the 90-93 coupe is marginally lighter, the increase in spring rate is not going to dramatically affect body roll.

An aftermarket sway bar set will yield the most dramatic improvement. If you can no longer find aftermarket sway bars, the next best thing is a shock and spring upgrade. I'm not a big fan of coilover sleeves, personally... but a Bilstein HD / H&R Sport combo will do nicely.

a fair word of warning...body roll is really only proportional to ride height if you're increasing the spring rates at the same time. You could cut your springs *shudder* and lower the car, however your body roll would be reduced by such a small margin that it would be completely outweighed by the fact that you'll be crushing your bump stops and killing your shocks...not to mention your performance might actually be worse. My point here is that you'd need to get a set of aftermarket springs or coilovers to really make a difference, as TheOtherDave™ said.

If you're on a budget, go with a new set of springs and shocks, but if you're gonna do one, then save up for the other, get the shocks first, then the springs, because if you get springs alone that drop the car more than like .5", your shocks are gonna crap themselves in a couple of months...unless you'd be getting the two within a month or maybe two of each other.

FWIW, the I've done some research on sway bars for the '90-93.

The only two companies that make them are Suspension Techniques and Addco.

I've checked Greddy, SRR, Spoon, etc., etc. and they all make bars for '94 up but not '90-93.

KYB makes AGX struts for the front of our cars, but not for the rear (go figure!)

An inexpensive option to improve handling is urethane bushings for your existing sway bars. This noticeably improved roll control on my '91...but I want to autocross, so I need bigger sway bars.
