Default Too many miles for Turbo?

I currently own a gen2 Integra LS with a 163,xxx miles on it, do anybody think it'll hold up to a turbo charger? got a custom kit at my dads, that i worked for all summer, im only 16 so i wont have the money to rebuild a blown engine unless i work my ass off like last summer, replys would be appreciated

you already got the kit and now your reconsidering? well if the engine stilll runs well and holds oil its probably good to go. if you wanna be thorough then check the compression in all the cylinders, and if its not up to spec just rebuild it, or have the shop do it. it wont be as much as buying a new car, and when you put that turbo on, itll be just as fast as anything you could buy. just my 2 cents

Well depends on the condition of the motor. How well have you taken care of it? I would have a shop do a compression test, and a complete leakdown test. Then go from there. IMO I wouldn't put that kit on unless you have money to rebuild the motor. Most likely you'll have to change something here and tune something there. It gets pretty expensive. It's up to you. Good luck.

how's the tranny? if it's the original one it might not holdup very long with the additional power. if you're going to boost, keep it under 7 psi; 5 to be safe.
