Installing my short shifter tonight

if you have them, use a pair of vice grips instead, so you don't have to hold it... a pair of vice grips will fit down on that, and brace themselves against the little lip of the surrounding area...
give you an extra hand to hold it with.

If you can, replacing the bushins wouldn't hurt either.. makes for a smoother shift.

Make sure, even if you don't replace the bushings, you put the one right behidn the shifter back on right, or you'll have a loose shifter...
won't effect your shifting but it's annoying.

thx for all the tips, ill have to install this when I have some time, and im changing the oem shifter because I had some money to burn away

Well it was my first one so I was not sure what to do. Live an learn. DAS I read you wanted for 17's so you can buy the rotora brake kit in classifieds? Is this true?

I want to run the Rotoras, but without 17's. They would totally ruin the sleeper look I have going, so an upgrade in wheel size that big is out of the question.

Those big brakes are pretty sweet, though. h:

Well it's installed,
I did it this afternoon with the help of my dad, it went alright. It took more time than it would normally since we did not drop the b pipe.
the shifter I used was a dc sports and it works great, the shifts are much shorter and it does not rattle so im happy.
