Default Installing my short shifter tonight

I might be installing my dc sports short shifter tonight, im following the tutorial on team-integra.net.
any last minute tips maybee?
Is there a chance I can completly ruin my exhaust b pipe?

I've never isntalled a short shifter, and personally dont see the need for one. But i wanted to compliment you on your Screen name

They are really simple.

I usually just remove the hanger in the middle and push the b pipe over.

If you really want to, just unbolt it before the cat and drop it.

Make sure you grease the ball on the shifter really well and reuse the dust boot and stuff.

theres two bolts that are a pain in the ass to get off. They have a square top and sit in a square indentation on this bracket. Youll see when you get it off.

I hate those bolts because they just spin when you try to turn them. Try to get some needlenoses in there to hold it.

thx for the tips, I might not do it tonight afterall, but definatly soon.

They aren't that bad, lol.

I usually pull the whole shift linkage out as on piece. Then dismantle the shifter from the rod out from underneath the car. Makes it much easier.

the oem shifter is good though, why would you replace it?

This is true. I had to hold my self up under my car to keep them from spinning while I undid them. Pain in the ass.

True story. It doesn't take much longer just to unbolt the whole shift linkage and work on it elsewhere besides under the car.

I would have shot myself in the face if I had to deal with those bolts while my arms were cramping up underneath the car.
