Default Injector problems, I think??

I just installed a new set of Venom Injectors on my '92 Integra GS-R. Car was running well before I put them on, now it seems to be bogging down something fierce. Any ideas on what might be causing the problem?

Are they larger injectors than what you had before? If so, and you didn't change the ECM settings, your engine is running very rich. You ECM sends a signal to keep your injectors open. With two injectors open for the same amount of time, the bigger injector will dump more fuel. You would need to adjust that signal to make the "duty cycle" or how long the injector stays open, shorter on the low rpm end.

I've never fooled with reprogramming an ECM before, and I still have the factory ECM installed as is. Is this something I could do fairly easily on my own, or would I need to call in some extra help?

Your ECU is still thinking that you are running the stock size injectors. That is why you are having issues with it bogging.

Sounds like you should have done your homework before bolting a new set of larger, and probably pointless set of injectors in. You may be able to use a VAFC to lean out the mixture a little, but I only recommend that you have someone who knows what they are doing do it for you.

My best advice is to pull those injectors out, put the stock ones back in, and then sell them.

Default Sumthing Like that

That is very much so, one thing yu can get is an adjustable feul pressure regulator, that will help out. have yu moded yur ignition system? Like coil and firing stuff like that? But yeah yu will need to Reprogramm yur ecu , the thing is the delay time of injector spray(pulse) is long on 90-93 B18A models. with the new injectors there is a very large spray , resulting in there being too much gas now and not enough air. I think Intrax Co. makes an external unit that adapts to yur injectors in case like this. Also i kno here Nogokito makes such units for injector upgrades. One other solution is an adjustable regulator and rail and bring down the pressure a little so there will not be an overspray of gas but still a powerful delivery for performance.

I went on ahead and put the sock injectors back in for now. Question DUNK, so far I've put on an AEM cold air intake and complete MSD 6A ignition system. My intention is to finish out the revamp with these bigger injectors so I can take advantage of the best of all three of these upgrades. What would you suggest as the best upgrade for my ECU in this case?

I totally agree. A stock engine doesn't need any sort of fuel upgrades. You aren't pushing any more air through the motor than stock with those bolt-ons, so a larger injector will just kill your gas mileage.

How big are the injectors?

Stock injectors are more than adequate for your setup. So is the stock ECU, really.
