Default MSD Blaster coil ?

okay my friend gave me a MSD Blaster Coil 2 and when i install it is there anything that needs to be installed with it i am running the stock distrubitor and i remember in the book saying something had to be installed between the negative or postive wire on some distrubitors if any one knows what this is or if you do need this i would be very thenkful of your help. and also has any one have this installed on their car

It's a porcelain ballast. Don;t forget to remove your stock coil either. Otherwise you'll be running 2 at the same time and you might end up frying some shit.

You'll need the MSD distributor cap, and the extra plug wire for the external coil.

Oh shit... sounds like it's still in there. You have to take the distributor out. Mark it from the top to the caster w/a sharpie so you can out it back on the same. Take it apart (screws and nuts) and take out the internal coil since this is what you are upgrading. It may look like a 1/2 moon shaped piece with a little weight to it that takes up most of the innerspace of the distributor.

You don't need to remove the distributor to remove the coil. Just take the cap off, two more screws and you're done. It's the top piece, with the pointy shit on the front.

I'm speaking from when I did it on my 89. I could not get to it while it was still on the car. Maybe w/newer Integras you don't, I just figured somethings haven't changed. Like sometimes they never do ya know...
