Read: I beat the hell out of my car

I used to have an 89 Plymouth Acclaim Turbo that I changed the oil about that often. After 1500-1800 miles, I could feel a big difference in performance. My friend is a Mopar performance freak, and said because of the high temps it wouldn't be a bad idea to change it that often, especially if the performance was dropping noticably.

What's $6 a month on oil & filter?

Anyway, I'd be really wary of that car man. Keep looking, let some other sucker bite on this one.

It all depends man....that car could be in awesome condition, how would we know? He definitely took care of it body-wise.

How much is he asking?

unless you're driving the car super hard, i don't see the point in changing oil before 3k.. changing every 2k sounds fishy to me. that's never been the norm.

oh no, not at all. there is absolutely nothing wrong with changing your oil early. i just find it suspicious in his case. but for that milage, i guess he was doing something right.

he is asking 7500, but I know I can get it down. blue book is below that with those miles, but you have to think about money worth of mods.
