I just made a ~700 mile round trip this weekend. For the first half of the trip, I had my cruise set at 78 (actually about 74mph). I ended up getting about 32mpg. On the way back I kept it at 71-72mph (actually about 67mph). I got 34mpg that time. I have gotten even better than that, but there were way too many construction zones that I had to keep slowing down for and then speeding back up. :madfawk:

You would waste gas trying to catch up to a 330, GTI's and A4's with an RS Auto? How cheap is your gas? We're up to about $1.65 94 over here.

And at 4000, you're only at half the fun
I was gas no matter what. Like u said 4K = half the fun so I'm always in higher rpms so it dont matter. I pump 87 and it ranges from $1.47 to $1.65 in san jose, (differnt gas stations)

According to the State of California, if you are doing 70mph you are using approximatly 20% more gasoline than if you're doine 60mph

and 20% more than that if you're going 80
etc.

~90mph in a gsr tranny is like 4400 ish which is vtec range
when i cruise i range from 65 up to 85
i get like 300 miles between fillups, which i do approx every 9-10 gallons
so i think my mileage is good considering the speeds i go
