Ignition timing issues
Ok so I have a 92 Integra GS with B18A1. OBD-1
I had a rebuilt dizzy on it for the longest time and eventually it started to have misfire issues at WOT. Used it for a good 2 or 3 years
I bought a new one, which didn't have a lock washer on the rotor screw and destroyed one of my caps, still got me home!
I took the 2 dizzys, and used mostly parts from the new one to build a functional one. Used it for probably over a year
Recently, again, misfires at WOT, bought another new one, and instantly I can tell it fires up much faster. Warmed it up and when I went to set the timing, The light was flashing at the TDC mark.
I had to adjust it fully to get it on the ignition timing marks, and I can only hit the first one. I'm not hitting the center mark. I can WOT 1st and second gear but seem to have trouble still, in 5th on the interstate if I give it too much throttle.
I'm starting to think my ECU is getting tired, I have another one, and intend to swap it out to see if I have any changes. Let me know your thoughts!
