I have been using Castrol GTX 10/30 with a Fram Sure grip oil filter. Seems to work pretty well and hardly burn off anything. Car is a 91' B18A with 156,000 Miles.

Thanks, but after reading the NTPOG review on oil filter construction & performance...there is no way in hell I'll risk my motor on a TinkerToy filter . You do make a good point, however. Apparently the newer OEM filters are made by FRAM (rather than Purolator).

I haven't dissected one yet, but given the shoddy performance and build quality of the rest of the FRAM line, I'd steer clear of them too. h:

So does anyone know if the S2000 filter is made by FRAM, or if it actually is a high quality filter? ALso, it's a direct fit on the B18's?

If you read my earlier post, you'd see they're made in japan

And they should fit B18Bs, but I've only put them personally on B18Cs
