a_integra_97...every alarm that i have installed has a shock sensor that can be adjusted to diff sensitivity levels.

alarms that we carry all have back-up power sources that enable the alarm to go off for up to 48 hours if the battery were to be disconnected. all have ignition cut offs also. want to silence the alarm speaker? cut the speaker wires, common sense.

but either way, a smart thief will get past an alarm with no problem, there are many strategies. if they were a little bit smarter they would have high paying jobs and would be making big dollars legally.

If you're only carrying liabilty coverage, then you're probably out of luck.
But if you have the ability to file a claim with your insurer, I'd look into it.
I'd file a report with the police in any event.

:happysad: Hang in there.

It was liability coverage only, my mistake should have relized it wasn't comprehensive too. I have full coverage on my mercedes though. I did file the claim with my insurance and they called like with in 10 mins telling me I'm out of luck. Police report filed as well. Im sure they hit a fer more cars in my area. I live in a very nice area were it is very comon to see cars in the $50K range parked out side. I also noticed that my garage flood sensor lights were not turning on anymore. The bastards turned the sensitivity level all the way down as to not keep turning on.

The one the I have (but haven't gotten installed yet)
is nice because it's a Viper2 (which has a little keychain that beeps and shows what's happening to your car on a LCD screen)

that shit'll be set to silent alarm, so when my car beeps, they'll still take their time while i'm coming with a bat. :rick:

I'm sorry to hear about your ride man, that definatley blows. Best of luck in the future man.

Damn.

Well, at least your local law enforcement knows these guys are out "doing business". It sounds like this is one of those gut-wrenching hardships that you have to take in stride as a "learning experience". h:

My sympathies. Here's hoping they get caught red-handed. :happysad:

Let me start off by saying you didn't have to mention wishing you had an tape recorder of a Black guy from the Ghetto being pissed off. I'm Black, I don't live in the Ghetto. That was racist IMO. You do need to watch what you say when making comments. But anyway, I know how you feel because my Civic got broken into a few weeks ago while my wife & I was at dinner. That's worse. They took my box & also my red Jdm H emblem. They tried to get my head unit but couldn't get it. I have to replace that later since it's damanged. It still plays but, I can't remove my face or might stop working. See I could've said it was problably some Carcasion kids since they took my emblem but I would sound racist also, but a break in is a break in. Just be careful where you park & get an alarm. I'll be getting me one soon. I didn't report to my insurance because I only have liability & they would raise your insurance....

I disagree with it being a racist comment, he was just saying that doing so would lure thieves away. The voice would be threatening. I mean.. he could have said "the voice of a some dude from the ghetto" but other than that, I don't see a problem with it. He was just describing what my be a "scary or threatening" alarm. Just my .02
