Default serious decision

What to do????? i want a turbo ( 6-8psi )for the extra kick but i also want n/a for raw power and high comp. what would last longer? i want the crower stroker kit and bore out to 87mm. have 2.4L. if i went with this would i need to get a vtec bottom end or ls? i have ls/vtec. keep what i have or get vtec bottom end? also i am getting skunk 2 stage 2 cams and valve train.

if not that i want greddy turbo kit with intercooler.

which one has better gas mileage. i want to run 93 octane and have as a daily driver.

I get 24 mpg on my Greddy kit driving like a maniac and running 91 octane pump gas. I haven't had to touch my internals and I have spent a little over $3k and am pushing about 210-215 whp, so you decide. N/A is much more work, but if you want a challenge and a money pit for subpar results, be my guest.

If you don't have to deal with smog, why not go for a better kit that will give you a bigger kick in the balls, like one based off the T3/T4 turbo? The Greddy kit is only good for smog standards and it's super fast spool up.

you are not gonna be able to bore a b series to 87mm and have it streetable. a stroke that huge to make that displacement would be no fun. i dont know about you but if i went with a NA setup i would like to take it to 9k occassionlly. :rick:

do what a friend of mine did he has a 00 itr, itr block bored to 2.02, new internals, si head with custom cams, port polish, a turbo about the size of my head if not bigger (trust me its big cuz i have a huge head) dont remeber what size i know its a turbonetics, he put 40k on top of the cost of the car but he makes around 650hp and its still daily driver (one fast daily driver) but he races at the track alot. i wouldnt go past 2.0 really

and jesus thats a nice turbo kit on that website but way way out of my poor pockets price range

Stage 2 cams are for N/A only. Turbos prefer the stock cams.

Gas mileage isn't as bad as you think. As long as the engine is properly tuned up and running right, 20+ mpg should be feasible if you don't drive like a total maniac.
