Default decided to supercharge my 00 gsr

I decided to choose supercharge route rather than turbo because i live in cali and have to deal with smog. I will be getting the jrsc for my gsr and my goals are daily driven, reliability. I want to be able to be to run 14's and 13's in 1/4 mile. I want low end to top end power. What do you guys think of my decison for those jrsc gsr owners. Give me some feedbacks on jrsc. How was the install?? I currently have skunk 2 im which i will replace with jrsc itself but can i reuse the hondata intake manifold gasket??? In terms of intake i have currently a type r comptech intake and icebox. Will i be able to reuse or make it work with the jrsc gsr.
im gonna run 6psi. Do the jrsc belts really break. I will get my jrsc kit professionally installed in a shop. I will also purchase a walbro 255lph. I will yes use my vafc2 since it is already on my gsr for tuning. Hopefully it will work because i dont wanna spend more money on hondata. Anything else you guys recommend.

You're a member of Team Integra, I'm guessing that your user name is pnoytegn707.
Did you bother to read the Supercharger Basics and FAQ?

Here's a quote directly from that article.
Will a V-AFC help my fuel tuning?
No. These units modify the MAP signal, which is near limit in vacuum, as the MAP is placed before the supercharger. The MAP just reads A LOT of air going into the engine and the ECM doesn't have the fuel maps to adjust such in a precise manner. The V-AFC also is a RPM and load adjusting unit; it doesn't take into account for boost in any spectrum of the tuning. Many people love to band-aid their engine with these overpriced units, but it's their money.
I know you have the V-AFC 2 but I'd still ditch it for a better setup. I'm sure you've spent a decent amount of money on your car so no need to cheap out on engine management for FI. I'm sure someone will disagree but hey I'm entitled to my opinion right. Tuning is key if you want to reach your goals, that's all I'm going to say.

I'm not familiar with smog laws out there but I'm guessing that running an intercooler wouldn't work.

Greddy is working on making their Type 31 intercooler smog legal, so by the time you have to take a smog test, it will most likely be completely CARB legal.

I personally wouldn't let anything Jackson Racing makes touch my car. I have heard some gnarly horror stories. And who needs low end power when you will spend most of your time in higher RPMs when racing anyway?

I wouldn't supercharge any Honda/Acura vehicle, not even if I got the supercharger for free and someone paid me to have it installed on my car. Shit I wouldn't even supercharge my Acuras/Hondas in my GT4 video game.

Hearing that poor gentlemans issue with JR is the icing on the cake.

:eh:

sc's are better for v6 and v8's because they have a lot more displacement than a honda 4. not because they rev higher.
