I personally wouldn't do the LS/VTEC conversion. It adds too many variables and will add less reliability unless you strengthen the bottom end a good amount.

If a GSR and LS were running the same setup and boost level, the GSR would win. But the LS has lower compression, so the boost can be bumped up and even a T3/T4 on an LS would beat my Greddy kit on my GSR.

dude, do a search. all of these questions have been asked before. and if all you want is a 13 sec car that is great at daily driving, do the greddy kit like schmoo and I did. pretty safe for the engine and doesn't completely drain your wallet. dont forget you will need a stronger clutch when you put any kind of forced induction (turbo, supercharger, nitrous) on a car. but to reiterate, please use the search.

I swear I posted this for you before: http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/motorbuild/build.php

Pretty much the same thing for your motor.

Don't buy anything yet. Read a lot and ask a lot of questions. Those hp/tq ratings are the MAX they think they can get out of the kit and they do not bother telling you how much internal work you need to do nor do they tell you that you will need a nice engine management system (EMS) to run it properly. When it says 7 psi, that means that the wastegate spring that comes with that kit is rated at 7 psi. You will be able to boost a good deal more than that with a manual or electronic boost controller. If you're going to boost more than 10 or 12 psi, then I'd definitely rebuild the motor and sleeve it.
