Ok. Does it look to you like the inner ring has been sheared off? Like the sensor was broken off? Or did they plug the hole with something? In the picture from the manual it loks like there is a bolt on it as well. It doesn't say anything about how it attaches...and unfortunately I've never taken one apart.

honestly I think it is plugged but I have no idea why...

Ahh the thunderbird ;p I had a 1992 LX, fun r/w car for the time being ;p and then the head gasket blew and I sold it

Yeah I blew mine twice and replaced them each time. Of course I was running clear of 21psi at the time with 15% overdrive on the supercharger and an unbelievable amount of timing advance. Outran a stock 03 Cobra... made me happy :-) Now Im running a more conservative 10% overdrive and milder timing but still running high 13s which isnt bad for a 4100 pound car

Why would he have plugged the VTEC???
