Anyone ever notice a loss in power after installing an air bypass valve?

Maybe I'll have to stop in at the junkyard. Most of the LS tegs by me have had their engines taken (darn those civics!) and probobly the intakes will be gone.

if your running a b18b then the cai will feel better for you, then the b18c gains better with a sri
I agree with what you said about the power gains, but disagree with the B18B comment. I switched from my AEM CAI to a SRI/Icebox setup, and it feels like I have gained power. But, I also have a 4-1 header and N1 catback, so my setup is for top end power and not low/midrange. However, it still has get-up in the midrange...once I hit 4500-5000 it pulls pretty well.

As for the CAI vs SRI, the SRI will make more horsepower and torque in the higher rev range, as well as give better throttle response due to the air having less distance to travel to the throttle body.
