If your secondary O2 sensor isn't attatched onto the test-pipe in some way it'll produce a "Check Engine Light" (CEL). Of course, there are also other methods of bypassing that.

Please post your opinions on the best products for the job (whatever the price, but available in the UK!) Also (to help me decide) any pics' of upgraded exhausts on 'ITR's' would be appreciated.
Thanks for helping a man new to the world of 'Type-R!'
Mugen intake if you can afford it or comptech.
Header... do you have to worry about cops looking under the hood? if so oem jdm4-1 is a very good part (heatshields to cover) No cops- then Toda Header (best off the shelf)
testpipe- any should do, but I went with SMSP.
Catback.. I recently purchased the buddyclub III, loud loud but sounds OH So sweet.

Intake manifold... stay stock unless you have money to toss around.
If you have access to a tuner then think about getting a progamable ECU. a few HP to gain on a stock motor and a few more with bolt-ons.

I agree with Rob on the Mugen Intake (or Comptech if you can't afford) but also would consider the J's racing intake.

Header: Toda or SMSP

Test pipe/de-cat pipe: Any, it's not real hard to cut a piece of pipe and weld on proper flanges/o2 bung if needed.

Exhaust: Very subjective. SMSP has a new setup but exhaust are far too subjective IMO to offer suggestions.

I'd also consider at least a VAFC if you can't afford a standalone ECU + tuning and cam gears (Toda).

Intake Manifold: Def stock unless you do a lot of other stuff. Skunk2 = cheap stock copy.

Many many methods, including simply pulling it into the cabin.

However, are UK ITRs even OBD2?

Thanx for the input Dave! As you say, welding a pipe in to replace the cat wouldn't be a problem, I've done similar before! I'm just a little concerned now about getting problems with the emmissions sensors and the warning light! My last 'Civic' wouldn't start in the cold 'cos of an engine warning light that strangely appeared as soon as I'd had the car chipped. (Luckily it's never cold in England!???! ) That's why I want to get as much info' as possible before I make any changes to this car! I want to avoid messing it up!
