I know this thread is old but I was having trouble with this nut last week. My impact wouldn't budge it. I borrowed a Ingersol Rand 2135ti 1/2" 1000 ft/lb wrench. It took it off like it was finger tight. I couldn't believe it. Needless to say, I'm buying one for myself.
