When installing a new crankshaft and/or new pulley bolt:
1. Tighten the pulley bolt to 196 N*m (20.0 kgf*m, 145 lbf*ft)
2. loosen the bolt
3. retighten it to 177 N*m (18.0 kgf*m, 130 lbf*ft).
*When installing the bolt, lubricate the threads with engine oil, but don't lubricate the washer and pulley.
When removing the crankshaft pulley bolt it would save you a big headache if you have the proper tools.

I had the same problem. I talked to the Acura Service guy so i had all the right tools. But I still had to light up the torch to get it out. I used an impact to no success. I was standing on a 3 foot breaker bar and it wouldnt even move, but when the heat came, she started to ease off.

Heck...... I got a 550ft lbs impact gun... stuck a 19mm impact socket on it..... sprayed PB blaster on the crank pulley bolt and let it soak while i went to drag my air compressor from the garage to the driveway... plugged in and cranked up the compressor to about 140psi........ plugged in the impact gun.... then wham, took it right off no problems.

I hope you don't normally run your impact gun on 140psi. Most impact guns run on 90psi and running it higher will ruin, or severely decrease the life of the tool. Be nice to your tools, and they will be nice to you too......

Biggity bam:
http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?CatCode=27115
Available through Summit and others. Better than and less expensive than the OEM tool. Also extremely heavy and potentially a lethal weapon.
